This page is intended to inform on the instructions for a Photo History Tour of Atlanta that will be created by US4P students. The purpose of this project is to give students a sense of the history of the city and area they live in. The final product of this project will be the creation of a Mixbook digital photo album. Students will work in the same small groups from their wiki projects. They will select a place to research related to a topic we have been discussing in class. Their Mixbook pages should include the following:
  • A historical description of what happened at the location including the specific event or place itself as well as the how it fit into the context of its time.
  • Images of the location as it existed in its time gathered from the web that are properly attributed.
  • Students will also go to the place itself and take a picture of it as it appears today.

Here is an example of a Mixbook project so you can see what other people have done with this media device.
